Printing Your Personal Blog

I love keeping my personal blog up to date so my friends and family can see what we are up to. I also like to have a printed copy for myself so I can look back at all of the fun things we did and my kids will one day be able to read all of the stories I wrote down. There a many places that will print your blog such as blurb or print2blog. Although these are really nice and easy to use I couldn't find one that made the book the way I wanted it. It always seemed like the pictures and words didn't line up or they didn't look the way I liked it.

So, I created my own blog book in photoshop. I just copy and pasted my words from my blog post and inserted my pictures, organized them the way I wanted them to look and saved as a .jpeg.  Here is an example of what my blog pages look like.
Sometimes if the blog post is pretty long it ends up taking a few pages.

It does take a little time to create each page but it will be fun to have in the future.
At the end of each year I have all of the pages printed into a bound book. So fun!

Do you print your blog into a book? If so, how do you do it?

  1. I started in Blurb but also didn't really like the layouts etc so this is definately something I should think about. What size did you create the pages in and then what size do you like to print your books. Who do you like to print through. Could you post a picture of the finished book? Sorry for all of the questions but this idea interests me.

  2. I created my pages in a 12x12 size but I am having them printed in a 8x8 book since I think that is a good size for a story book. 12x12 just seemed to big for something like this. I will post a picture of my printed book as soon as I have it. I like to print through Persnickety Prints.
